Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect your comment, name and email address. Providing a website address is optional. WordPress also stores the IP address associated with the comment.

Your name and approved comment are public. An optional website address may appear as a link. Your email address is not published by the comment system. Do not put private information in the comment text itself.

We use this information to display and manage discussion, handle questions and follow-up, moderate submissions and address spam or misuse. If you choose an available option to remember your comment details, cookies can save those details for future comments.

Comment images and Gravatar

Gravatar images are displayed in the comment section. Gravatar is provided by Automattic. A value derived from an email address can be used to request an avatar. Loading an image can also send technical request information, such as an IP address and browser information, to the image provider. See Automattic’s Privacy Notice.

Email enquiries

If you email us, we process your email address, message, attachments and other information you choose to provide to handle your enquiry or request. Google provides the email service for ari@cubixframe.com. We do not use commenter or enquiry email addresses for marketing.

Website operation and hosting

Hostinger hosts the website and its WordPress database. Website requests involve technical information needed to deliver pages, such as an IP address, requested URL and browser information. Hosting and security systems may also process request information to maintain availability, detect misuse and investigate faults. See Hostinger’s Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how readers use Nana Dish and improve the website. Depending on the configuration and visitor choices, Analytics processes information such as pages viewed, interactions and browser or device details, using cookies or similar technologies. Google’s consent message is configured to communicate consent choices for analytics storage as well as advertising purposes.

Google describes its processing in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can also read about the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. This browser tool is separate from any website consent controls.

Google AdSense and advertising

We use Google AdSense for advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet, subject to applicable consent requirements and advertising settings.

Google and advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers for ad delivery, personalisation, measurement, security and related purposes. Google acts as an independent controller for its AdSense advertising processing. Read Google’s partner-site data information and our Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure.

You can manage personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings. Some third-party vendors offer opt-out options through aboutads.info. These options do not replace consent where it is required. Contact us for information about advertising partners and privacy choices if a partner list is not accessible.

Why we use information

We process ordinary enquiries and comments, moderate discussion and operate a secure website for our legitimate interests in providing and maintaining Nana Dish, subject to the rights and interests of individuals. Where applicable, we process information to comply with legal obligations, including handling statutory privacy requests. Consent is required for cookies and related processing where applicable law requires it, and for personalised advertising under Google’s applicable consent requirements.

Cookies and consent choices

We use Google’s consent management platform to present privacy choices to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Consent mode is enabled for both advertising and analytics purposes, allowing Google products to interpret the choices collected through the message.

Use the consent message’s options to accept, decline or customise the purposes and vendors presented to you. Where a Privacy and cookie settings control is provided, you can use it to reopen the message and review or withdraw your choices. For assistance with privacy choices or withdrawing consent, email ari@cubixframe.com.

You can manage or clear cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect website features and does not necessarily stop all processing by individual providers. Read our Cookie Policy for further information.

Service providers and access

Hostinger supports hosting and website storage. Google provides email, Analytics and advertising services. Automattic provides Gravatar. Authorised developers may access personal information when needed for website maintenance and support. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to meet applicable legal obligations or protect legal rights.

We do not sell visitor information for payment or use submitted email addresses as marketing lists. Advertising-related processing and sharing are described separately above; this statement does not mean that advertising involves no disclosure of information to third parties.

How long information is kept

Approved comments and associated records may remain while the related article is published, to preserve discussion and support follow-up and moderation. Comments may be removed earlier through moderation or an applicable privacy request. There is no fixed one-year limit for all comments.

Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, handle follow-up and retain records needed for the relevant enquiry or applicable legal requirements. Technical and Analytics records have separate retention arrangements governed by their purpose and service configuration; the comment-retention approach does not apply to those records. Contact us for information about a particular record.

International processing

Providers such as Hostinger, Google and Automattic may process information in countries outside the UK or the country where you live. Their privacy notices describe their international processing arrangements. You can contact us for further information about recipients and safeguards relevant to your information. We do not represent that all information remains in a single Hostinger database or in the UK.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on applicable law and the processing concerned, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict processing, object to processing or request data portability. Where consent is relied on, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to the circumstances and applicable exceptions.

Contact ari@cubixframe.com to make a request or raise a concern. Proportionate information may be needed to verify a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or another competent supervisory authority where applicable.

Audience and other features

Nana Dish is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children. We do not currently offer newsletter subscriptions, sell products or services, or accept payments through the website. We do not currently use affiliate links or publish sponsored posts.

Updates

We may update this notice as our practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Questions can be sent to ari@cubixframe.com.

Reader recipe submissions

If you email a recipe, we receive your contact details, message and any cooking notes or photographs you choose to send. We use this information to review the recipe, respond and prepare it for publication. Please state how you would like to be credited and avoid sending unnecessary private information. Our correspondence retention approach above applies to submission messages; published recipe content may remain while the article is available. Contact ari@cubixframe.com about a submission or credit.
